Our Story
FROM A TOWN OF 50,000 TO ALL OF BRAZIL
Guaxupé is a town of about 50,000 people in inland Minas Gerais, known as Brazil's coffee capital. That's where Diego and Matheus met, and without imagining the size of what they were about to build, decided to create a project unlike anything the Brazilian electronic scene had seen before.
Diego was already a DJ before Hope Infect, known in the funk world as DJ Baum Bifee. Matheus had a background in advertising and music production. Together, they became a duo with a rare combination: understanding music, image, and how to connect with an audience, all at once.
Hope Infect was born about a year before the pandemic, and the duo already took the stage wearing two black masks, with no idea that, not long after, masks would become part of everyone's life. The duo used the look as a trademark in their early years and dropped the masks after the pandemic, when their faces became as much a part of the identity as the music.
In no time, the duo was touring all over Brazil. Their original tracks landed on major labels like Hub Records, Só Track Boa, Problema É Grave, and Universal Music, along with international imprints. Collaborations came from every direction: partnerships with artists from inside and outside the electronic scene, including names from funk, one of the genres that helped shape the duo's sound.
After that stretch of fast growth, Hope Infect took a break for personal and family health reasons. Priorities are priorities, and the duo chose to take care of the people who matter before getting back on stage.
Slowly making their way back, the duo is on the rise again and has been named among the next breakout acts of the Brazilian electronic scene. Today, Hope Infect is a confirmed presence at rodeos, college parties, clubs and electronic music festivals across the country: formats that demand real stage experience.
Every show is built to make an impact. Beyond the original set, Hope Infect's live show includes real pyrotechnic effects, made possible by Diego's own specialized company: a rare edge that guarantees a visual spectacle to match the sound.
